Tanka: New World

words of old friends
create new worlds …
by the firepit
we marvel as the sun sets
in fading lines of surf

    1. Thank you kindly dear Eliza, it was a lovely to enjoy the sunset sitting on the sand around the fire, listening to each other, the crackling flames and the sea. Hope you were able to build a small, safe campfire too 🧡 xxx

      1. Sadly, because of ticks, we no longer have campfires. Only in the dead of winter, in the snow, would we be safe from them. Somehow, it doesn’t seem as much fun then. 😉 But this year, many folks are doing just that. The only sanctioned small gatherings are outside. Time’s change, go with the flow!

  1. Well done. Something about gazing at a fire, ‘waiting for the sun’.

    “At first flash of Eden
We race down to the sea
    Standing there on freedom’s shore
    Waiting for the sun
    Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun” –The Doors

Love the crystal ball too. Superb.
