Tanka: Only Silence

night time scene in a Highland village
a church lit up at night with reflections in the water

there is no sound
from the puddles in our street
only silence
where the wind just blew
and rattled all the rafters

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words dear Cathy 🧡 I’m not sure what we saw in the last picture. To the eye it looked like a shooting star and when I zoomed in with the camera it looked like something more ethereal floating down to earth. Happy Wednesday to you too from all of us here! 🤗💖🐕 xxx

  1. I got goosebumps from viewing your photographs and poem ….
Am not sure if it’s too much Halloween on my mind, or an overactive imagination, or perhaps you magicked tension & mystery into this post.
But a welcome start to our weekend festivities!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words dear Ju-Lyn. I’m not sure what we were seeing that night – it looked like a shooting star and the camera captured it as something more mysterious and other-worldly. If they were spirits landing to offer a helping hand in the current crisis they’ll be very welcome! 🤗💜 xxx
