There seem to be a lot of gatehouses still intact long after the grand houses are left to decay.
It’s a lovely one and looks loved and cared for.

The first photo is of a really lovely spot: the shingled roof, and the path through the woods. The next two shots are wonderful studies in how attention can lift the common everyday sights into something beautiful. I also think your haiku(s) are other examples of that.
