Haiku: A Helping Hand

I wrote this haiku in honour of the volunteers from the RNLI who will go out in all weathers to rescue people from our seas, lakes, rivers and floods.

  1. They really do serve in harrowing conditions. My nephew was in the Navy as a helicopter pilot and I saw footage of him expertly holding a line over a shipwrecked civilian in a heaving sea and it was not for the faint of heart!
