It was a lovely surprise when this young swan pair made their nest on the river. They and their three remaining cygnets are a true inspiration and continue to lift the spirits of our community in these challenging times.

Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday and a blessed week ahead,

with love from Xenia xxx

  1. A baby something just melts the heart and those sweet cygnets make me smile, too, Xenia! I hope you had a wonderful Sunday (I just came in from a walk in the forest and it was a joy to see a young eaglet stretching its wings in its nest with an adult above keeping an eye!).

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words dear Kim, it’s so uplifting to see young birds explore their new environment at this time of year. I can imagine the parent lovingly watching over the eaglet stretching it’s wings. A bit like someone watching over us from above as we’re taking our first tentative steps out of lockdown 🙂💜 xxx

    1. Thank you dear Laurie, one of them was weakening and couldn’t feed anymore. We’re sad about it too and trust he’s in a better place now 💜
