Waking from their afternoon nap the swans and cygnets enjoy a preen and feed in the shallows of the river.
Wishing you all a blessed Sunday and a peaceful week ahead,
with love from Xenia xxx

I hope the swans are in a safe place when they can grow up in peace? Thanks for joining our prompt today.

Thank you kindly dear Christine. They’re on a tidal river and the local people and River Trust help to keep an eye out for them and arrange nutritional and veterinary care in case they need it 💚

Our Trumpeter swans on the nearby lake now have two cygnets. I fear that they may have lost one or two. They are about the same size as the ones in your photos maybe a bit bigger. They are absolutely white! Maybe that is a thing with Trumpeter swans. Anyway have a good week Xenia!

Thank you dear Anne and so lovely to hear you have cygnets on the lake too! It’s possible that only two eggs were fertilised and here’s hoping they’ll have a long and healthy life ahead of them. Wishing you a very good week too and please give Biasini a big pat from us all 💖 xxx
