Strange name for a very beautiful flower.

Thank you dear Lois π I thought it was an odd name too (they’re called ‘Pinksterbloem’ in Dutch, which means ‘Whitsun Flower’) until I began to hear the cuckoo calling when seeing these flowers in bloom πππ¦πΆ xxx

Thank you dear Laurie π They flower in late Spring and we see them in forests and meadows, often accompanied by the sound of a cuckoo calling from a nearby tree ππΆ
