a male mallard duck in the grass

This duck was waiting patiently below the birdfeeder, knowing that some seeds would find their way to the grass whenever another bird was feeding above him.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,

    1. So lovely! In the forests people have separate feeders for the squirrels and they tend to leave the birdfeeders for the birds :o)

      1. I sometimes toss extra seed. I have what is supposed to be a squirrel proof feeder – just for the squirrels. I know some folks put out corn for the squirrels. The only thing I put out is black oil sunflower seeds.
